Postdoc Position in Inorganic Nanomaterials for Catalysis


ONE Lab at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is expecting an Inorganic Chemist to join as a postdoctoral scholar on a project funded by Saudi Aramco - KAIST CO2 Management Center.

The ideal candidate should be a fresh graduate within 2 years from the conferral date and a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry is required. Profound inorganic nanomaterials chemistry and crystallography knowledge with matching laboratory skills in catalysis applications is necessary to fulfill the job requirements. The candidate is primarily expected to study new reforming catalysts.

Knowledge in characterization of nanomaterials is expected. The research scope of our group is broadly defined in energy and environment, and all group members are welcome to explore new directions. Salary will be commensurate with the experience and expertise. Proficiency in English is compulsory. Appointment is for one year, extendable to two years. Collaborative trips to overseas (Saudi Arabia) may be required. Korean nationals are preferred but international scholars will be sponsored for a working visa. Position comes with regular retirement pension payments (collectible without penalty after termination of contract) and comprehensive health insurance for the whole family.
